Studying
My mum has a laptop that belonged to my stepdad which she cannot access due to not knowing the password. Is there anything that can be done so that it can be used again? It's been lying unused for 9 months and my nepehew would like the use of it so any advice/help would be much appreciated?

Thank god January is over. So many people i know were really fed up without having any real reason to be unhappy. It is apparently not uncommon at this time of year, oh well. I was not totally unaffected myself but I think that had more to do with work than anything else. New year was a good night and [info]thefastone had to look after me as I was very bad and had far too much to drink. Ooops, something I wont be repeating anytime soon. Need to work on knowing my limits when I am out. Hope everyone on LJ has had a good start to the new year.

I am very happy, off work today so [info]thefastone and I are off to the Washigton cafe then we shall take it from there. Trying to get time in together before he heads off to his next job which is any day now. Went for a curry to Nazma last night which was lovely except for one thing; I have a swollen right face due to an unfortunate and VERY painful infection in a wisdom tooth. It makes eating very difficult. I can't drink due to being on these antimicrobial tablets but that isn't actually too difficult as I am on a misson to lose weight right now. I am feeling better today. I'm glad as I have my 4th driving lesson tomorrow and I could never have concentrated on driving with the pain the way it had been. I can't say that I am enjoying it yet as it is still a little scary but everyone has to start somewhere, right? [info]thefastone and I went looking at potential cars for moi. It was actually quite the motivator, an incentive to do the best I can to do when learning. I have also started my new uni course as I passed my last one. Yeah! It's going to be very busy the next few months but I suppose that is a good thing especially when [info]thefastoneis away as it is a distraction from how much I know I'll miss him. It's not always the best thing coming home to an empty house especially when a hug is needed.

All in all a good start to the new year, a couple of glitches but nothing I could control.

I can't believe I'm ill AGAIN! I got sent home from work on Wednesday. I think I was scaring the clients with my violent coughing fits! Our household is not a healthy one right now. Dale and I are coughing in unison! How romantic. My chest hurts from coughing and I have every sympathy for Dale's condition even more now. I am off to Skye tomorrow morning on the 6.25am train, at least I wont bother anyone with my coughing that early in the morning as it is usually dead. Must not miss train as I did the last time. I also have to go last minute Xmas shopping as I got paid today. Must feed myself , wash and motivate my bedraggled body into town soon. Merry Christmas to everyone and I'll see you on the other side!

After trying to avoid going to the doctor I gave in on Monday and find myself signed off sick for 7 days. I have a chest infection but that is not the worst thing, I have labrynthitis!! Strange but true, feel drunk and tired all the time without the alcohol. I was dizzy before but this is ridiculous! So far this week I have watched die hard 4.0, The illusionist, zodiac and I am now half way through season 3 of Battlestar Galactica. I've made some of my Xmas cards and now in the process of going through some paperwork that I need to shred so basically I'm bored. I can't sit in front of a computer for very long without feeling as if I'm going to fall forward and reading is out of the question as the words move around. However, I do have a friend visiting this weekend so not going to be so bored as of tomorrow. Being starved of company when you don't have a choice is definitely not good. Contrary to what it may sound like, I remain optimistic as always. Have a good weekend everyone. I Have to go and take a dizzy pill.

After much asking, no one I know who is free this weekend is going to watch the football game tomorrow. Are there no football fans out there who are excited about one of the biggest Scotland matches in such a long time? As it is on SKY Sports I am stuck with listening to the radio on my own :-(

My birthday is on the 21st this month but if you would like to join me for drinks on the 17th, which is a saturday, I would love to see people who I haven't seen for ages. Otherwise I will stay in and feel very sorry for myself!! ;-) I don't want to make a big fuss, I just want to catch up with folk. Please let me know if you can make it.

Cumbria Train crash

<http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6393867.stm My dad came out of this wreck alive, badly bruised and with some stitches to his head but walking wounded. My Heart goes out to the family of the woman who was killed. It could have been worse, I'm so grateful that my dad got home in one piece. Thank God for the safety of the pedolino train. There is no doubt that the safety measures invested in this design of train stopped it from being a worse disaster than it already was.

Pain in the Neck

I am limited to looking pretty much straight ahead for most of today and probably shouldn't be on computer.....
Woke up with incredibly sore neck and shoulder on my right hand side and missed work, feeling very guilty but got sent home as 'it is obvious you are in a lot of pain!' It's only getting worse, there is so much I could be doing in the flat but can't and I'm bored. I have a pain in the neck and [info]thefastone would say I am a pain in the neck. I can't win really.

I too had a clear out today and have now got rid of many pairs of shoes although a certain someone would like to see more go, not a chance!! ;-) As well as these (under the bed)I have a pile of shoe-boxes with old photographs, letters, birthday cards etc which looking at really made me smile. I don't know whether to hold onto some of it or save it again for another time when I like to go through them just as a little reminder of a (so far) very good life.

I invaded my neighbours bathroom. It was more interesting than I had expected, they have musical scores for wallpaper. Using the sink was never an option, dale did suggest the bath but I dont think so!! I could be waiting for sometime according to the council. That really shocked me. ;-) As long as it doesn't rain cause then I'll want to go to the loo even more but can't and I'll have floods of water in my kitchen. Not a good combination, My flat is falling apart!!!
